Mangave "Night Owl"Manfreda + Agave = Mangave. This cross between an Agave and a Manfreda captures the best of both plants. Mangave is shaped like an Agave, but the Manfreda side gives it faster growth and unique foliage. Agave are a type of succulent native to North America. This is a great plant to keep in a bright room in the winter and on a porch patio during the summer. Avoid too much direct sun, as it may scorch their leaves. These dudes are drought tolerant water

In general

the Blue Glow Agave is a great hardy desert plant

but the petals are covered in tiny spikes that will cover your hands if you touch it without gloves

These guys need well-draining soil and like to dry out completely between waterings

requiring a complete saturation only every few weeks or so (and even less often during the winter months)

but can tolerate medium light

Watering with spring or distilled water will help keep the tips of the leaves from turning brown
