2025, Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild, PAUILLACThe second wine of Mouton Rothschild. First produced in 1993. It comes from younger vines of the main Mouton vineyard. 2025 it is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot (nearly all of Mouton's Merlot crop), 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. Ageing in 50% new oak. Open and juicy with a plush nature as well as a noticeable ripeness, yet it's only 13% alcohol. Medium to full bodied with fine, velvety tannins and a savoury, flavorful finish.
