The pedal comes with a polarity toggle switch so you can select if the momentary switching is normally open or normally closed

Click the switch again and you are back to full volume

Each footswitch is numbered (see layout above) so you can choose how you would like that switch to function

The front two switches (wired to tip) are set at a lower height to the back switches (wired to ring) for them not to get in the way of each other
