Rolex Oysterdate Precision Silver Dial Ref. 6094In the early 1950s, Rolex introduced the Oysterdate Precision in a waterproof Oyster case with a hand wound movement and 34mm waterproof Oyster style case. This was an interesting move by the Rolex brand, considering that the automatic wound 36mm Datejust had already been introduced in 1945, and the 34mm automatic Rolex Date followed in the 1950s. The movement in these references (e. g. ref. 6094) is manually wound and not COSC certified. This means
