Boracite (rare color)Here we have a good quality Boracite specimen from find the 2009 find in Bolivia. While these specimens are not a new find per se, they are newly mined specimens from this well known locality. Most people are familiar with the "blue" Danburites (included by Magnesioriebeckite) from this locality, but the other staple species found here is Boracite. This piece features a few rare, translucent, soft cream yellow color crystals of this hard to find

as many of the Augelites from this mine are not terribly colorful

rich golden color crystals with excellent gemminess / transparency and somewhat blocky form

prismatic crystal with a beautiful termination

lustrous and well-formed with classic "sword"-shaped pyramidal terminations

as most Brookites are found lying flat on matrix

and Bolivia has arguably produced some the finest crystals of the species extant
