Century Brace BarBraces are used in some skates to strengthen the overall plate. Typically older style plates use a brace due to the plate and hanger combo. We have factory replacement braces for all our skates that require them. If your skate requires a brace we recommend using one as the specific geometry of the skate was designed to have one. Not using one can and will cause the skate to fail. Century braces are used in the century plate and all other 10 plates
