Each bowl has been hand carved from indigenous wood by women of the Turkana community in Kenya. Turkana bowls are known for their distinctive and unique shapes as well as their beautiful carving details, showcasing the artisanal wood working skills of the Turkana people. our co-founder Tarryn spent a lot of time searching for artisans who specialised in craftsmanship using old woods to achieve an old aesthetic
